Chermoula is one of those sauces whose taste after it has been applied to a dish for the first time makes you wonder where it has been all this time.
It is a North-African inspired relish or condiment whose elegance, versatility, and great taste have made it popular in kitchens. It is often used as a condiment for Seafood, Chicken, Vegetables or Beef.
Chermoula has unique, slightly spicy, and earthy taste that contrasts the taste of fresh herbs. It has a mildly thick texture with a great and sweet flavor that easily blends and enhances the food it is slathered on.
Chermoula Eggplant Recipe
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 Cup of Olive Oil
2 Tsp Of Salt
2 Medium Eggplants
2.5 Tablespoons of Nana Foods Chermoula Seasoning
Preheat the oven to 400F.
In a small bowl, combine our Chermoula seasoning, the salt, garlic and olive oil. Mix the ingredients well and set the Chermoula sauce aside.
Cut the eggplants in half lengthwise. With a knife, score the flesh of each slice with diagonal cuts to form hash marks. You want to cut deep, but be careful not to cut all the way through to the other side of the eggplant.
Place the eggplants on a baking sheet, scored-sided up.
Spoon the Chermoula sauce over the eggplants, spreading it evenly.
Bake the eggplants in the oven for 45 minutes, until they are soft.
Remove and enjoy!
